The food is fine, but the pie is amazing! We've never been disappointed with any variety.

Great food. Especially breakfast. Fast service and never a wait, even on weekends. Simple homestyle food done tight

The food is OK. It is pricey and the portions are decent. I am huge breakfast kind of gal and this place just did not cut it for me. I ordered the corned beef hash brown n eggs & stack of pancakes. It wasn't extravagant, sadly I've had better at jack in the box. In fact the bacon was burnt. Our server was nice and sweet Free parking Breakfast is all day Pancakes are not recommended although the corned beef was yummy They don't have chorizo only soyrizo and one of the servers didn't even know what chorizo was. (Ummm)

Had the lumbjack breakfast. Pretty basic eggs, bacon, sausage, and pancakes. Fresh indgredients! Service was quick and kind. Crowd is very diverse. Plenty of parking. Good vibes from this joint!

As one who eats out all the time, Four n 20 ranks up there! Great service, amazing food and a comfortable envirinment! If your going for breakfast, you cannot go wrong with an omelette, or pancakes. When going for lunch, I'm a big fan of their turkey burger with fries. When you ask for BBQ sauce on the side, they bring it back heated. Dinner specials there are always great and if you like pie, this place makes the best pies in the valley! Great food, and awesome service!

I went here for lunch, had the trout dish, there really was no taste to it, they need to spice it up a bit.

Love this place. We are regulars, and they always recognize us and are so kind. Feels like a genuine neighborhood diner. Love the pie and the breakfast! And the mozzarella cheese sticks.

This place should be in everyone's list. Great pies, great food for the money. Family owned and operated. Been working here in the valley for years and I love it when I get a chance to be in the area to get some great homestyle food! + All the pies are made from scratch and they are hella delicious.

Good place for lunch but nothing special, just average. Might go again but only if I was in the area. Not a place to make a destination. But the pies are crazy good. So food gets 3 stars pies get 5 thats why a 4 star.

We go here because it's walkable from our apartment. Breakfast is good, delicious "muffins" that come with eggs. But they get only 3 stars because the lunch and dinners are meh, and very overpriced. Great service, though.

Food was generally good although service is as usual "horrible". I do not expect perfect but they are nowhere near decent. I understand today is Mother's Day so the waiting for the food might be longer than usual but this is not my first time here experiencing bad service.

This is my go to pie place! I am sure to bring just about every close friend for brunch and a delicious slice of pie! I honestly think that is what really makes this place what it is. It has a nice ma and pa vibe, really good service, and great breakfast food!

Okay, if you're looking for a DINER this place is just that. The negative reviews are a little confusing, you're going into a diner so expect a diner atmosphere, sheesh. I really enjoy coming to this place for family brunches. They have adjustable seating for larger parties and good service. The overall feeling is very homey, very mom and pop, which is what I look for in a real diner (not Denny's or CoCo's, YUCK). They have the BEST blueberry muffins and yes, they're homemade (no really THE BEST lol). The price is good and the portions are big. They have a nice size menu and even include some healthier choices. I enjoy their breakfast but their tuna melt is amazing!

If there was one place that I wish was a chain, it would be 4 and 20. For coffee shop fare, it beats the heck out of most. A place that serves breakfast all day that includes Soyrizo and eggs with wild rice is gold. If you want to do comfort food, they have that. If you want to eat healthy they do that as well. The pies are great and the service is consistently pleasant. I used to live around the corner from the Laurel Canyon store and was in there ALL THE TIME. Wish I still did.

This is not fine dining, but for what it is (a diner), it's really good. Big selection, including a "fitness" menu and a surprising amount of vegetarian options, so you can eat healthy if you want to. Or you can order a big slab of pie. You definitely can't go wrong ordering breakfast, and the tortilla soup is a hit too. Good service and a nice neighborhood place to hang out. This is also JJ's Diner of "Parks and Rec" fame.

Would have been 4 or maybe even 5 stars if we had any sembelence of service. I mean, my lady and I look a little young, but we have money to spend. Getting ignored by our hipster waiter was bad enough, until I spotted him being 'hip' by leaning against a counter on his blackberry. We waited 15 minutes to order dessert and this cat is sitting around on his phone... WE WERE THE ONLY ONES IN HIS SECTION. If you can deal with the shabby service though, the food is very good and the pie is to die for. But get that stuff TO GO!

The coterie of women on "Sex and the City" engage in scandalous conversations over gourmet banana splits at their posh dessert parlors in Manhattan; and my friends and I engage in our equally scandalous conversations at a simple family-run diner in the San Fernando Valley. Call me biased but I think a diner setting and diner food...rather than a parlor setting and fancy bananas - are more amenable to frank discussion with my home girls.
